Chapter 3: Input from Survey
This
critical chapter provides the responses of the nearly 40 research participants,
beginning with a summary of the data from the
respondents to my initial survey, proceeding to the actual responses of those
participants granting such permission. What you will read in this book is
certainly not an indication of right, wrong, or majority rule. If anything, the
arriving data suggests that there is a wide variety of approaches to
conceptualizing jazz improvisation pedagogy and its grading process.
