This outstanding cover illustrating just some of the diversity of jazz was crafted from a number of outstanding images
taken during the three-year international exchange project "A Jazz Bridge to Greater Understanding," which merited the
2013 Community Engagement Award for Research from Virginia Commonwealth University.
The project partnered VCU with the University of KwaZulu-Natal (Durban, South Africa).
